It goes without saying that births are something special, and what a privilege it is to be able to enter your birth space.
I myself had a photographer at each of our babies births and let me tell you, I'm SO glad I did! as we all know, births are unpredictable!
As you're faced with yourself at your most vulnerable - and yet, your most powerful - I'll be the fly on the wall capturing you as you enter motherhood, however that looks like for you.
At this time I am choosing to only photograph home births. This is also something I am passionate about.

Birth Photography is still quite new and it’s not for everyone...and that is OK. But your obviously interested to know more about it, so let me tell you what it’s all about.
When I tell people that I’m a birth photographer, most people don’t know how to respond and I can tell they’re a little mortified. But don’t be scared! Birth is naturall! Our bodies where MADE to do this!
Unlike what some may think, Birth photography isn’t about photographing what’s going on...”down there”. It’s more to capture connection. That’s where I come in.

To capture the way your partner/husband/support person does everything they can to help make you that little more comfortable: rubbing your back, giving you sips of water.

It’s not always glamorous
I’m not going to lie to you. Birth isn’t always glamorous. Sure there’s women that give birth to their babies in the pool and it seems they didn’t even break a sweat. But it’s not always like that, it’s unpredictable. We will talk about what you want me to capture, where you want me to be (I don’t have to get the nitty gritty things!) and if at any point you want me to stop shooting.

Lighting is limited in birthing rooms and so it can be hard to get the best quality images so please remember that images may have some grain.
